In the new music video for her track “Legendary Flows,” rapper and college basketball player Flau’jae crafts a lyrical and visual world that brings together the two words in its title harmoniously. The 21-year-old LSU Guard from Savannah and daughter of the late rapper Camoflauge celebrates her ever-growing list of accomplishments—including a spot on the 2025 Forbes 30 under 30 influential athletes list—as she takes us on a swift, flashy tour of her home gym, in full uniform and a full face of glam. She can combine the two worlds of music and athleticism effortlessly, a balancing act she’s embodied on her deluxe EP—Best of Both Worlds—which came out in November of last year. 

“Legendary Flows” is one of four new tracks on the deluxe EP, and the video that accompanies it exemplifies the exciting, vivid energy that Flau’jae is meeting as her rap career continues to evolve. Through bright transitions, dynamic and jolting camera movements and striking pan shots that immerse you in the rapper’s athletic realm. Flau'jae pays homage to her hometown of Savannah, reflects on how she’s provided for her mother and acknowledges all the ways she’s come up so far. From “being at Coachella” to getting “one with Tunechi” (references her song with Lil Wayne “Came Out a Beast”), there isn’t an accomplishment Flau’jae leaves untouched, but stays humble as she applauds the hard work she’s put into managing both of her careers. “I'ma start this fast, and I'ma start to slide / I just went all the way, it was no surprise,” she raps, a fitting synopsis of her ascent into the game thus far. 

The instrumental “flow” of “Legendary Flows” carries Flau’jae’s seamless rhythm with a sanguine piano melody and a hushed, yet fettering drumbeat. An interlude of bass between the track’s chorsues boosts the track’s depth. Flau’jae rides the fast-paced flow with ease, with bars that pack a lot of ideas while still packing a punch. She deserves to flex all that she’s achieved so far, making “Legendary Flows” a fitting early-career anthem that will only cause the young rapper-athlete to clinch more success.
